(SFC) The PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) has officially launched a worldwide, public survey that will help select the Look Design for the 2018 Games. The Look Design will be the creative branding on all promotional items and facilities for the 2018 Games.

From November 11-17, POCOG will hold a Look Motifs Exhibition & Survey at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul to find the design that will best animate the 2018 Games. The Korea Institute of Design Promotion and National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art recommend 14 renowned artists to take part in the national event to develop the graphic motifs for PyeongChang 2018.

An online and offline poll of the Preferred Graphic Motifs will be open to the public. To determine the final design, the Selection Committee will evaluate the results of the survey. The online survey is available at PyeongChang 2018's official Facebook account ( and their official website (

On November 10, before the official launch of the exhibition, a special Opening Ceremony was held and attended by the participant artists; Lee Keun, CEO of the Seoul Design Foundation; Kim Jongdeok, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; and Yeo Hyungkoo, POCOG Secretary General.

During the celebration of the opening of the exhibition, Minister Kim Jongdeok stated, "The Look Motifs Exhibition is a significant milestone to showcase the convergence of culture and sports. With the selection of the Games Look Design, we expect that the PyeongChang 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games will promote Korea as a cultural power to the world."

The final design will be chosen at the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Seoul Design Foundation sponsored Look Motifs Exhibition. The chosen design will be developed as the official Look Design and will help promote Korea's winter sports and contribute to the successful hosting of the 2018 Games.
