(SFC) It's official that the International Olympic Committee (IOC) member and World Olympians Association (WOA) Patron, HSH Prince Albert II along with IOC President, Thomas Bach will open the inaugural World Olympians Forum (WOF). Other notable sporting dignitaries will also open the WOF alongside President Bach and HSH Prince Albert II. The Forum will be held from October 20-22, 2015 in Moscow, Russia.

The Forum will feature a list of legendary Olympians, opinion formers and senior executives in the Olympic Movement, and leading figures in the Russian sports world. This year's WOF was established through a partnership between the WOA and the Russian Olympic Committee. The connection provided the opportunity to create a new platform to celebrate Olympians' achievements and Olympism worldwide.

Olympians, Governments, representatives of the IOC and the Olympic Family, National Olympians Associations, and critical sporting, non-governmental, and Olympic stakeholders will be brought together during this Forum. Attendees will discuss a variety of topics of significant concern to Olympians and share their best practices with each other.

Topics pertinent to the WOA Mission of Service to Society and Service to Olympians will be debated and discussed through various platforms including networking sessions, working seminars, and keynote speeches.

HSH Prince Albert II stated, "It will be a great pleasure to officially open the inaugural World Olympians Forum.  I'm looking forward to gathering with my colleagues from the Olympic Family to discuss and debate the key issues concerning Olympians."

He added, "Olympians are the greatest ambassadors of Olympic values, and they are at the heartbeat of the Movement. It's vital that we look after them properly throughout their sporting careers and beyond and I'm sure that the very first WOF will provide an excellent platform for us to put the welfare of Olympians at the top of the agenda."

WOA President, Joël Bouzou, said:

"We are delighted that Prince Albert will officially open of the World Olympians Forum - I know that as an Olympian and esteemed leader in the Olympic Movement he will make a great contribution to the inaugural WOF," commented WOA President, Joël Bouzou.

President Bouzou concluded, "This historic event will be a fantastic opportunity to bring together all National Olympians Associations to promote the core values of Olympism and discuss the key topics relevant to the WOA Mission of Service to Olympians and Service to Society."
