(SFC) There is only a day left until SPORTELAmerica officially opens at the JW Marrriott Marquis Hotel in Miami, Florida. SPORTELAmerica will last from March 17-19th

This north American edition will feature top level executives from various TV networks, international Sports Federations, sports and marketing agencies, productions companies, satellite providers, new media providers, and many more. It's truly a sports experience for those in attendance.

SPORTELAmerica will open on March 17th with the "East Meets West" press conference in partnership with the Federation Equestre Internationale (FEI). It will feature breaking news on a new major league in the North American sports landscape.

Following this will be an expert panel discussing the topic, "The North American Sports Rights Boom: Is it Sustainable?" in collaboration with TVSportsMarkets.

The agenda continues to stay packed leading into the second day. In association with Sports Video Group (SVG), a SPORTEL & SVG Business and Technology Panel will start the day. It will be titled, "Marketing & Monetizing Second Screen in the Americas."

Next will be another TVSportsMarkets collaborated expert panel. This panel will focus on the topic of, "Sport and the Evolution of the Latin American TV Market."  It will end with a two part panel in partnership with La Liga.

The first part will be La Liga President, Javier Tebas speaking about how soccer challenged the audiovisual transformation, and the global digital environment. Then, part two will feature La Liga Strategic Projects Director, Nacho Trujillo, and Ignacio Arrola, of Mediapro, Sports Rights. They will talk about, "La Liga, the Best Showcase for the Transformative Innovation."

"The last three years, we've been topping and breaking record with each show. Not just SPORTELMonaco, but each show. It has been growing and growing," stated Jones."Luckily Sportel managed to stay the only show in this industry that satisfies the need for the industry leaders to decide on the future of sports content and sports media."

SPORTEL continues to grow with each show they stage. Last year's SPORTELMonaco had 2613 attendees from 78 counties and brought in 961 companies. They saw a big draw from the Broadcast TV Network (23 percent). They also expanded their global reach. Around 69% came from Europe, 12 percent from Asia & the Middle East, 11 percent from North America, 3.5 percent from South and Central America and 2.5 percent from Africa.

Jones expressed, "SPORTEL is not the business show anymore for the people. The people are avid followers and protective about SPORTEL, their SPORTEL. So, it's really more of a community now. That is a nice thing to see. It's more personal now than it used to be."
