PyeongChang 2018 agrees to work with the IOC for new integration working group

(SFC)  During the International Olympic Committee (IOC) Executive Board meeting taking place in Rio de Janeiro on February 27th the PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) agreed to form an Integration Working Group to expedite the decision-making process.

This new working group will include key stakeholders including POCOG, the IOC, winter sports International Federations, the central government of Korea and the regional government of Gangwon Province and will get into action before the upcoming IOC Coordination Commission mid-March.

The new group is focusing on enhancing communication with the IOC and will help to accelerate preparations by speeding up the decision making and streamlining work efficiency.

It is also planned to have the group hold regular meetings at least once a month to discuss pending issues and for planning.
