(SFC) This Thursday five mascots from previous Olympic Games will arrive in the host city to meet the mascots for the upcoming Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games set to be unveiled next week on November 24th.

The five mascots who are going to travel to Rio are Misha (Moscow 1980), Athena (Athens 2004), Fu Niu Lele (Beijing 2008), and Wenlock and Mandeville (London 2012) and this is the first time Mascots from a previous Games will visit the current host location.

The mascots will land at Galeão International Airport on Thursday morning then during their three day visit they will be making stops at some of the most notable sport tourism locations that Rio has to offer.

On Friday the mascots will visit Sugarloaf Mountain with children from the Rio 2016 education program where they will enjoy a picnic and storytelling about the Games.

Then on Saturday they will go to the world famous Maracanã stadium with members of the Rio 2016 education program where there will be more Olympic stories and a mini tour and a picnic.
