(SFC) The Rio 2016 Volunteer Programme will be released Thursday, 28 Aug., in a press conference at Rio 2016 Olympic and Paralympic Games Organising Committee headquarters in Rio de Janeiro.

Rio 2016 said the press conference, which will detail volunteer profiles, number of vacancies, and areas of work for the 70,000 needed volunteers, will begin after 10:00 A.M. local time.

Volunteers, both domestic and international, will have to be 18 years old in February 2016. Volunteers will be provided transportation within the Rio de Janeiro metropolitan area by Rio 2016, though they will have to obtain their own travel to Sao Paulo, Brasilia, Belo Horizonte, and Salvador – the cities hosting football matches. Volunteers will also have access to online language courses.
