LF Corp. officially named formal wear sponsor for 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade

(SFC) The 2015 Gwangju Universiade Organising Committee signed LF Corp. as its official sponsor for formal wear Wednesday at a ceremony attended by GUOC Secretary General Kim Yoon-suk and LF Retail Brand Director Jo Su-bin.

An announcement regarding official fashion and sports wear partners was made in July, stating GUOC had selected LF Corp. as its official sponsor for formal wear and Black Yak as the official sponsor for sports wear.

Initially a fashion brand, LG Fashion renamed itself LF Corp. to grow into a lifestyle brand and is now a global brand company. LF Corp. will produce uniforms for officials, awarding agents, protocol agents, and ancillary support in fashion shows.

LF Corp. will be allowed to use the Gwangju Universiade logo in promotions, including a special fashion line to be sold, and will assist the promotion of the Universiade through magazines and online commercials.

“It is expected that the quality of the Games will enhance as the leading lifestyle brand, LF, has become an official sponsor of the Gwangju Universiade,” Yoon-suk said. “As the LF has put on a new front, I hope that the company will also be able to use the Gwangju Universiade as an opportunity to grow into a global company.”

More than 20,000 athletes from 170 countries will compete in the 12-day 2015 Gwangju Summer Universiade, which will be held 3-14 Jul. 2015.

“As the LF is preparing for a new future, it will share the Gwangju Universiade’s vision to challenge and become new,” Su-bin said.
