PyeongChang 2018: Youngone Outdoor signs on as official sports apparel partner

(SFC) On the heels of the announcement of the first official sponsor yesterday the PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) revealed that Youngone Outdoor joined the marketing program. Youngone Outdoor will be the official partner for sports apparel and will provide a wide range of branded clothing for Games-related personnel, including Team Korea and the PyeongChang 2018 Games’ workforce.

The signing took place during a ceremony held at the Alpensia Convention Center in PyeongChang following the closing of the IOC Debriefing of the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games. IOC President Thomas Bach and Gunilla Lindberg, Chair of the IOC’s Coordination Commission for the PyeongChang 2018 Games, were also in attendance.

“This partnership will greatly help promote our Games,” exclaimed POCOG President Kim Jin-sun. “I’m confident that Youngone will join our preparation efforts and share the vision to deliver a Best Games in PyeongChang.”

The CEO of Youngone Outdoor, Sung Ki-hak, said, “We are proud to be the official partner of PyeongChang 2018. The company is looking forward to providing the best possible services to Korean athletes with our THE NORTH FACE brand.”

The NORTH FACE has been a leader in sports apparel and outdoor business for over 40 years and Youngone Outdoor introduced the brand in 1997 to the Korean market.
