(SFC) One hundred thousand visitors have now entered the PyeongChang House in the Sochi 2014 Olympic Park in just eight days, celebrated by the PyeongChang Organising Committee for the 2018 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games in a commemorative ceremony Sunday.
Ten-year-old Sochi resident Elizaveta visited the PyeongChang House Saturday with her parents and siblings. POCOG President J.S. Kim attended the celebration.
“I am honoured to be the 100,000th visitor at PyeongChang House,” the young girl, who was given flowers and PyeongChang House souvenirs, said.
“I have heard that the Republic of Korea is a beautiful country and we have been very interested to know more about it as they will host the next edition of the Olympic Winter Games,” her father said.
The “Flashe” Hallyu K-pop band also performed at the ceremony, where Kim stated he would reward the 201,800th visitor to the PyeongChang House free, round-trip airfare to the 2018 Olympic Winter Games should he or she volunteered at the event.
