IOC elections at Sochi Olympics includes Badminton Champion

(SFC) Badminton Olympic champion and Badminton World Federation Poul-Erik Hoyer was elected as an International Olympic Committee member before the Olympic Ceremony for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games.

Zaiqing Yu replaced newly-elected IOC President Thomas Bach as IOC vice president, while Turkey’s Ugur Erdener was elected to the IOC Executice Board, replacing Sam Ramsamy.

Beatrice Allen, Nicole Hoevertsz and His Royal Highness Tunku were reelected after discussions regarding the preparations for the 2016 Lillehammer Youth Olympic Games.
