McDonald's to open restaurants at Sochi 2014 Olympics

(SFC) The Athlete’s Village and Main Media Centre of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games will each have a 24-hour McDonald’s restaurant, featuring the McCafe menu at next year’s Olympics.
Five permanent restaurants will also feature the debut of five new menu items including grilled chicken, frappes and smoothies. Other customer favourites like the Big Mag, Salads, Chicken McNuggets and World Famous Fries will be available.
The Sochi McDonald’s will also donate a new children’s playground to further show the restaurant’s commitment to providing access to play championing physical and creative play.
McDonald’s, a Worldwide Olympic Partner, will select Russian children to act as correspondents at the Games to report on their Olympic journey as part of the restaurant’s commitment to children’s well-being. The “reporters” will go to Olympic events, meet athletes and learn the cultures of those across the globe and share the insights and sounds of the Games they see.
More than 350 Russian Olympic Champion Crew Members will staff the McDonald’s restaurants at the Games, chosen by their status as McDonald’s All Stars or Employees of the Month at their previous restaurants.
