(SFC) The 10th and final visit of the International Olympic Committee (IOC)’s Coordination Commission got underway in Sochi, Russia today for the next three days overseeing the latest preparations for the Winter Games coming up in just 136 days.

The IOC Coordination Commission, led by Olympian and super star skier, Jean-Claude Killy, will be taking his team to inspect the venues in both the mountain and the coastal clusters. Sochi has run over 40 test events already at the venues giving them a chance to break in the facilities and get feedback from the athletes. However the commission is expected to visit the Fisht Stadium, the Olympic Park, the Olympic Villages and the RusSki Gorki ski jumping centre.

With over six and a half years accomplished for their preparations, the team will also be judging the Games’ attention to detail.

They will be fine tuning the preparations for athletes’ services, sport, National Olympic Committee services, International Federation Services, media services, spectator services, Paralympic Games preparations, engagement, and Games operations.

The next Winter Games kick off on the 7th of February and the IOC will be wanting to ensure that the Sochi 2014 Olympics are ready to go and in good working order when they welcome the world for the opening ceremony.
