“We are still collecting thoughts and opinions from all over the world, and from the international press, and not only from those who are our close friends, to ensure that we perform with brilliance and will eventually lead us to victory,” Blanco said from Puerto Madero.

Spanish IOC Member Juan Antonio Samaranch, with Jose Perurena and Marisol Casado, will deliver an opening speech before Spanish Government President Mariano Rajoy, Region of Madrid President Ignacio Gonzales, and Mayor of Madrid Ana Botella give their own.

A technical video will then be shown to members of the International Olympic Committee, followed by Madrid 2020 Chief Executive Officer Victor Sanchez’ technical explanation of the Bid.

“Then it will be the moment for Pau Gasol and Teresa Perales to give our sporting presentation,” Blanco said.”

“We have a very good team,” Prince Felipe, who will deliver the closing Spanish presentation, said. “It is an important line-up that will perform brilliantly.”

Madrid is currently bidding against Istanbul and Tokyo to host the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Summer Games. The International Olympic Committee will select the Host City at the 125th IOC Session in Buenos Aires 7 September.
