(SFC) The FILA Junior World Championships will be streamed live on the FILA Facebook page beginning 13 August.

An English-speaking announcer will complement the two available replay-ready cameras. FILA previously live streamed the wrestling meet hosted in Ancient Olympia, Greece, this past July, which saw the first women’s wrestling match staged in Ancient Olympia.

Sixty-two national wrestling federations will be represented by more than 600 athletes, including five continental organisations such as Oceania and Africa.

Wrestling, threatened by a decision by the IOC executive board to be removed from the Olympic Games Programme earlier this year, is currently on the shortlist of sports with baseball/softball and squash to be reinstated. The International Olympic Committee will choose one of the three sports for inclusion at the 2020 Olympic Summer Games at the 125th IOC Session in Buenos Aires 8 September.
