(SFC) The Torch Relay of the Sochi 2014 Winter Olympic Games, presented by Coca-Cola, OSAO “Ingosstrakh,” and OAO “Russian Railways Company,” had its Celebration Cauldron revealed, “Russia Day,” by the Sochi 2014 Organising Committee.

The Celebration Cauldron will be produced and installed in each city hosting the end of day celebrations during the Relay. It was designed by a team of famous Russian designers and engineers with the Olympic Torch in mind; bright and silver like cold ‘ice’ sparkles in the sunlight and topped with a scarlet ‘flame.’

“The Celebration Cauldron of the Olympic Torch Relay is one of the main features of the Relay,” Sochi 2014 Organising Committee President Dmitry Chernyshenko said. “Each region will have an opportunity to keep the Cauldron. The Cauldron will form a part of Games Legacy and will remind the people of each region of this historic event – the longest Torch Relay in the history of the Olympic Winter Games.”

The cauldrons have been tested in the harsh conditions of a Russian winter and are 130 centimetres tall and 110 centimetres wide.
