(SFC) Olympic Top Sponsor Panasonic has signed on as Official Supplier for the Sochi 2014 winter Games covering the “home appliances” category.

The accord will supply about 5,000 household appliances to the Sochi 2014 Olympic venues, Olympic Villages and the Organizing Committee’s offices in the Olympic Park.

Technically speaking this will include kettles, coffee-machines, microwave ovens, irons, refrigerators, washing machines and thermo pots.

“We are extremely proud of our longstanding collaboration with the IOC, through which people from all over the world are able to watch the spectacular events of the Olympic Games,” said the general director of Panasonic Rus Ltd. Shigeo Suzuki. “I am especially delighted that we are able to expand our Olympic presence in Russia. Only once the company was able to do so before - at the 1998 Olympic Winter Games in Nagano. Over 15 years later, we are able to repeat this experience in Sochi. In this way, Panasonic Corporation emphasizes the significant role and importance of Russia in our global business.”
