ITTF appoint Hanjin Group Chairman Yang Ho Cho as Special Advisor

(SFC) At the ITTF Annual General Assembly in Paris, France, 17 May, Hanjin Group and Korean Air Chairman Yang Ho Cho was appointed Special Advisor of Finance and Marketing by the International Table Tennis Federation.
Cho will help the ITTF secure financing and revenue sources as part of his new position, as well as advising the marketing and related programs of the federation. Cho is also the President of the Korea Table Tennis Association and the Vice President of the Asia Table Tennis Union.
Cho helped establish the November 2011 Peace and Sport Table Tennis Cup, a tournament started to encourage dialogue and reconciliation between nations, with ten countries participating – including North Korea and South Korea.
Korean Air and the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace joined forces last December to conduct the United Nations Office on Sport for Development and Peace Youth Leadership Camps. The 12-day camps, hosted three to four times annually, teach young athletes from disadvantaged communities of the advantages of sport in promoting change. Korean Air supports amateur sports to contribute to world peace.
