Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee to Unveil Olympic and Paralympic Medals

(SFC) The Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee will unveil the new Sochi 2014 Olympic and Paralympic medals on May 30th, 2013, for the first time. This unveiling will take place during the 11th SportAccord International Convention in St. Petersburg, Russia.
In keeping with tradition, the presentation of the Olympic and Paralympic medals comes a year before the Olympic and Paralympic Games in Sochi. This exhibition is a moving milestone for the Sochi 2014 Games since this will be the first time the public will get a look at the new medals.
Approximately, 1,300, a record-breaking number of medals will be produced during the Sochi 2014 Games. The new medal’s design emphasizes the identity of Russia and its national character.
Those in attendance at the presentation ceremony of the medals will be President and CEO of the Sochi 2014 Organizing Committee, Dmitry Chernyshenko, alongside other famous athletes and public figures.
