March 12 – The International Olympic Committee (IOC) is carrying out its ninth and next to the last perusal of the works for the Sochi 2014 winter Games for two days to view preparations on the venues and hear briefings about the progress.

The Sochi 2014 opening ceremony is 331 days away and the local organizers are working hard to wrap the final preparations.

IOC Coordination Commission chair and renowned Olympic ski champion, Jean Claude Killy, is leading the IOC team who will also meet this time with representatives coming from each of the seven Olympic International Winter Sports Federations involved with the Games.

Also the meeting will include local partners involved with the Games and the briefings will discuss a number of topics such as Games operations, the Olympic Torch Relay, technology, culture, education and sustainability.

The client experience will also be of high importance and there will be working groups examining how services will work for the athletes, National Olympic Committees, spectators, the marketing partners, workforce and the media.

A final press conference is set for tomorrow afternoon from Sochi.
