February 13 – Infostrada Sports Group (ISG) signed a multi-Games service provider contract with the International Olympic Committee today, for the provisions of Biographies, Historical Results, and Records for all Olympic Games through to 2020.

Along with delivering services to the first Youth Olympic Games in Singapore 2010, ISC has had service provider agreements in the past with Olympic Games organizing committees, including Sydney 2000, Athens 2004, Turin 2006, Beijing 2008, Vancouver 2010, and London 2012.

ISG has experience in collecting, maintaining, and delivering sports content and information to various sports bodies and media.

“Infostrada Sports Group is very proud to sign this deal to further enhance its role in working with the IOC’s global partners to deliver biographies and historical results for the Olympic Games,” ISG CEO Danny Menken said. “It highlights the esteem in which Infostrada Sports Group’s service to the Olympic Games are held.”

On top of ISG’s biographies and historical data, the company’s “facts & figures” service has become a feature of event news services in which it has been involved during the last decade.

“The expertise Infostrada Sports Group provides is key to the media’s coverage of the Olympic Games,” IOC Technology Director Jean-Benoit Gauthier said. “They have proven themselves over many Olympic Games as a reliable provider and experts in this field.

“We look forward [to strengthening our] relationship moving forward.”

In collaboration with the IOC and its Worldwide Olympic Partners Atos and Omega, ISG will begin its projects for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games and Rio 2016 Olympic Summer Games.
