Sochi 2014 briefs diplomatic missions in Moscow

November 4 – Over 90 embassies were briefed at the meeting held by the Sochi 2014 organizers and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation to inform representatives from the various diplomatic missions accredited in Moscow.

The briefing took place at the MFA’s press center and delegates received information on how they could organize the stay of a foreign sovereign, a head of state or a Sports minister during the Sochi winter Games and Paralympics.

They were filled in on accreditation procedures, arrivals and departures, accommodations and transport, ceremony and competition visits in order to manage their country’s visitors.

Also the team responsible for the International Dignitary program was introduced as well as the terms for working with the OCOG and the attendees were told there would be a number of these meetings in the lead up to the Games.
