Sportel: Zlatan Ibrahimovic takes the Golden Foot Award in Monaco

The prestigious Golden Foot Award 2012 goes to Swedish player Zlatan Ibrahimovic after four months of web voting by fans around the world. Between 2003-2011 the Swedish team captain played for AFC Ajax, Juventus FC, FC Intern Milan, FC Barcelona and AC Milan and won eight National league titles in a row.

His footprints will join football stars on the Champions Promenade on the seafront of the Principality of Monaco where five other star footballers have left their marks.

The 31 year old Ibrahimovic received his award from an icon in the sport Pele who was also awarded a career prize as the “the greatest footballer of all time”.
