PyeongChang 2018: Minji Kang new spokesperson for the winter Games

July 9 – On the occasion of the first anniversary of the selection as host city of the winter Games, the PyeongChang Organizing Committee for the 2018 Olympic & Paralympic Winter Games (POCOG) has appointed Minji Kang as the new spokesperson.
Kang comes from a strong background of media and communications as she has a decade of news reporting as an anchor for Arirang TV, Korea's premier English broadcasting network then served as a media relations officer at the Asan Institute for Policy Studies.
She is also a graduate of the University of Toronto, Trinity College, with a B.A. Honors degree and holds a masters of journalism from the prestigious Yonsei University’s Graduate School of Journalism and Mass Communications.
Her new position will be to be the voice of POCOG to convey a unified message at all press conferences and during public relations engagements. POCOG is looking to have a more active engagement with the stakeholders and the public to promote PyeongChang 2018 at home and abroad.
PyeongChang will host the winter Olympic Games February 9-25 in 2018.
