TAMPA: New stamps have been released for the Sochi 2014 winter Games featuring the Russian Black Sea Coast to highlight tourism.

The new issues portray scenes of the Krasnodar region, including the Dendrarium Park in Sochi and Parus Rock Sail Rock.

A commemorative ceremony took place to mark the cancellation and Theodore Oben, head of the UN Environment Program, was guest at the event highlighting Sochi’s desire to respect the environment as well as by the representatives of the Russian post office and Russian Ministry of Natural Resources.

The series "The XXII Olympic Winter Games of 2014. Tourism on Russia's Black Sea Coast" includes 4 stamps press sheets (2x4) with stylized fields showing the Parus Rock, Sochi's Dendrarium Park, Orekhovsky Waterfall, and Sochi's railway station.

The release of the stamps also was enhanced by the envelope featuring the original stamp, "The XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi: The mascots".

The Sochi 2014 Philatelic Program was started in 2011 and released 10,192,000 stamps.
