MONTE CARLO, Oct 13: The prestigious Georges Bertellotti Golden Podium Awards were handed out as SPORTELMonaco honored the best TV sports images and slow-motion sequences. Prince Albert of Monaco was present among numerous personalities from the IOC and the sports and TV world.

The awards jury deliberated over two days before reaching its decisions. Members included Yves Boisset, Bernard Chenez, Frank Fredericks, Jean Gachassin, Jonah Lomu and the jury for Best Sports-Related Advertising Film: Alain Cayzac, Christian Blachas, Frederick Bousquet, Samantha Davies, Laure Manaudou, Simon Gillham, Gilbert Scher, and Tatiana Golovin.

The 2010 Golden Podium Awards Winners were:

Best slow motion sequence (cut/edited shot): Finale Dames Roland Garros 2010 Miracolo Italiano Viva Francesca. Director : Françoise Boulain. Producer: France Televisions for the Fédération Française de Tennis (France)

Best sound design - Radio France PrizeNBA Tease Draft. Director : Sam Silver. Producer: ESPN (United States)

Best sports program opening montage: World Cup 2010 Titles. Directors: John McKenna, Richard Norley Producer: Paul McNamara. ITV Sport (UK).

Best sports trailer/teaser: Umpires Haka Promo. Director/producer: Owain Morgan-Jones, S4C (UK).

Direct Sport people’s choice award for best sports trailer/teaser: La Parenthèse Universelle. Director/ Producer: Marc Nardino (La Cuisine aux Images), Thierry Gerberon (Grizzly Productions). La Cuisine aux Images (France)

International Olympic Commitee Grand Prize: Lassila Gold. Director : Liam Berkery. Producer: Nine Network (Australia)

Best sports-related advertising film – with the collaboration of CB News Magazine: Campagne publicitaire PMU. Producer: Agence Publicis Conseil (France)

European sports TV audience award with the collaboration of Eurodata Worldwide: FIFA World Cup
