TAMPA, Aug 30:  NBC director Bucky Gunts wins an Emmy award for the televising of the Vancouver Olympics opening ceremony. The Emmys are awarded by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences in the USA and are the most prestigious television awards.

He said, “It really is an honor to cover the Olympics” and he thanked the network, his co-workers and NBC Universal Sports & Olympics Chairman Dick Ebersol.
