Dow Jones: Vancouver 2010 loses CanWest Global on Games Index

TAMPA: Dow Jones made the announcement that CanWest Global Communications Corp. SV (Canada, Media, CGS.T) has fallen off the Dow Jones Summer/Winter Games Index.

CanWest was removed from the index as the company has filed for bankruptcy protection.

This will make the companies on the Dow Jones Summer/Winter Games Index number 36 from 37 and it be made official Friday, October 9, 2009.

The Dow Jones Summer/Winter Games Index measures the performance of all publicly traded securities of companies that are official partners, sponsors or suppliers of the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games. The index is reviewed quarterly in March, June, September and December.
