This day in the world of sport . . .
THIS DAY (OCTOBER 01) MARKS THE . . . 34th anniversary, from 1975, of the day Muhammad Ali won the legendary ‘Thrilla in Manila’ against Joe Frazier. Brazil’s three-times World Cup-winner played one half for each team amid a celebrity circus.
