MLB Network selects lady media manager

NEW YORK: MLB Network has brought in Lorraine Dellicarpini as manager of media relations to publicize MLB productions programming that will appear on the baseball network. She takes over from Jeff Heckelman who will be focusing mainly on business public relations.

The MLB Network was widely launched January 1st to approximately 50 million homes as the largest network debut in cable history, exceeding any other cable television launch by approximately 20 million. The network is distributed across 43 cable and satellite systems on expanded digital basic cable or the equivalent.

Dellicarpini has prior PR experience working with NBCOlympics.com, General Electric at the Torino and Beijing Olympic Games, and New York Road Runners, including the ING New York City Marathon.  She has also handled PR for projects with PUMA, Women’s Professional Soccer and Canon.
